Music can take you on a journey, make you laugh, cry and touch the deepest part of your soul. So can a photograph. I come to photography as a musician, attracted to visual narratives that define an unsuspected beauty in a specific place in time. I am a champion of the overlooked, and see my photography as a way to research, create change and inject some beauty into the world.

Day 48 - Modern Cowgirl
This is Holly. She lives in Santa Paula on a ranch. She's beautiful, smart and friendly... We stopped on the road to admire her beautiful oak tree and chairs and she drove her tractor over to say hello. In a very short time we got to know each other... We love meeting people on the road.

Day 43 - Humanity
Today I walked by a house and the family just moved in. The gardener stopped to let me and the dogs pass by and during that time the man of the house came out introduced himself to the gardener and offered him a bottle of water. Humanity exists right here in my neighborhood and that's beautiful.

Day 24 - The Georgian Sessions Continue
For the last few months I have had the pleasure of meeting with gallery owner, Jeanie Madsen. It all started when I sent her an email a couple of years ago to let her know that I really appreciated her tenacity in her marketing and her constancy in supporting art and artists. It took us two years to finally get together and when we did, it was synchronicity. There aren't many people I can talk philosophy with in addition to art, but with Jeanie, it flowed easily and before too long we realized that we were on similar paths in our lives and each session was one of depth, exploration and fun. Since that first meeting at The Georgian Hotel in Santa Monica, we have met there many times... and each time, I look forward to it. I walk away so much richer than when I arrived and I get to take away an inspiration that lasts quite a while. I value these times and don't take them for granted and realize what a sacred gift it is... truly. Jeanie is a great supporter of Beauty and Wisdom and has shared other projects of similar nature. Working together will be secondary and will come so easily...and after many months of meditating on attracting great people to work with... so it is. She is quite the visionary.

Day 6 - Father's Day
We decided to try a new place to walk today and ventured to Marina Del Rey. Not exactly nature, but still a nice walk with reminders all around about what's important in life.
I believe all men are fathers...in one way or another. I am so grateful for my own father, who is celebrating on the East Coast. And I am grateful to celebrate with my husband, a father to 3 girls, 2 dogs and 1 cat.
